P&H: Denies Anticipatory Bail To Two Men In Alleged Group Assault Case

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has refused anticipatory bail to Manik and Kapil, who are accused in a case involving an alleged group assault near Kosli bypass in Haryana. Justice Manisha Batra dismissed their petitions, finding that custodial interrogation was required for the investigation.

The FIR alleges that the complainant and his companions were called to the canal on the pretext of discussing a neighbourhood dispute. According to the complaint, 15–20 men arrived in three vehicles and attacked them with sticks and lathis. Three people suffered multiple injuries, and one injury to Rohit was described as dangerous to life.
