P&H: Rejects Anticipatory Bail Application Cites Custodial Interrogation was necessary.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has refused anticipatory bail to Rekha alias Rekha Ladhar and another woman in a theft case, saying the investigation had already linked them to the alleged disposal and possession of stolen property and that custodial interrogation was still required.
The case arose from an FIR lodged by Palak Arora, who reported that her house had been broken into while she and her mother were away in Mumbai. When they returned, they found a broken window, a ransacked house and missing items including a gas cylinder, cash, gold and diamond ornaments, and bathroom taps.
